Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Please read these terms carefully before subscribing to NLRB Research. Our Privacy Policy follows below.

Effective date: October 26, 2026

1. Service Description

NLRB Research provides searchable labor and employment materials through its website and hosted AI connector (MCP), which connects to clients such as Claude and ChatGPT. Your AI provider’s subscription and terms are separate from NLRB Research access.

2. Privacy and Query Confidentiality

MCP tool requests and responses, including research questions, source passages and reports, are retained privately for 30 days for troubleshooting, security and reliability. Existing API access has metadata-only usage logs, not retained query text or results. See our Privacy Policy.

3. Subscription and Billing

Approved trials last 30 days from verified, explicit trial activation and require no credit card. A trial does not create an automatic charge. Contact matt@nlrbedge.com to subscribe. Paid subscriptions renew through Stripe at the agreed amount and billing interval until canceled, subject to your agreed terms. Existing subscription rates and arrangements are unchanged by connector enrollment. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days’ notice.

4. Acceptable Use

New individual accounts and trials are for one person. Group access is arranged with us for an agreed number of people, including the owner. Group members use their own authorized email addresses. Existing negotiated access arrangements remain in force until separately changed. Do not share sign-in codes or redistribute or resell access. We reserve the right to terminate access used outside these terms.

5. No Legal Advice or Warranty

The database and connector are research tools only and do not constitute legal advice. The database may contain gaps, errors, or outdated information. Access to a document in our database does not guarantee that the document reflects current law or agency policy. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content accessible through the service.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason, with or without notice. Termination may disable account access, connections and associated credentials.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, nlrbresearch.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

9. Contact

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This policy explains what personal information NLRB Research ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the rights you have. We do not run advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use operational logs and limited cookies as described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the following:

Information you give us. When you sign up, request a trial, or contact us, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email address, organization, role, team size, and the type of entity you represent. When you purchase a subscription or book, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive only your name, email address, and transaction amount.

Service usage metadata. When you use our research service, we log the timestamp, your account identifier, your email, your entity, and which database was queried — solely for billing and service monitoring. We do not retain existing API query text or results in these usage logs. MCP usage records likewise identify the account, tool and collection. Separate MCP diagnostics retain content as described below.

Connected AI research diagnostics (MCP). We record requests sent to our research tools and their responses, including search queries, submitted questions and factual information, retrieved source passages, draft and generated reports, errors, timestamps and account-linked identifiers. Authorized personnel may review these records for troubleshooting, security and service reliability. We receive only information your AI client sends to our tools, not your entire AI conversation. Diagnostic capture does not include HTTP headers, cookies or OAuth credentials, but confidential or sensitive information submitted within research text will be recorded. We do not use this content for advertising or to train AI models.

Cookies. We use secure cookies for website sessions, trial signup and browser-bound connector sign-in and a non-unique seven-day browser-observation marker on research pages. The marker is used for traffic diagnostics, not advertising or a unique visitor identity. Infrastructure providers may also use cookies for security.

Server logs. Our web server automatically records standard technical information, including IP address, request time, and the page or resource requested. These logs are used for security and operating the service.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information to conduct research, but research text you or your AI client submits may contain it. Avoid submitting unnecessary confidential or sensitive facts. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to provide and maintain the service, review trial requests, authenticate account access, process payments and send receipts, respond to inquiries, monitor and secure the service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for advertising. Approval does not itself start a trial.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run the service:

Our hosting and infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, process service traffic as needed to deliver and secure the service. Stripe processes payments and stores your payment method. We never receive or store full card numbers. Resend delivers our transactional email (sign-in codes, trial messages, receipts, and notices). Pages that embed a YouTube video may cause YouTube (Google) to set its own cookies when you play the video. That interaction is governed by Google's privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

AI connectors run through your chosen AI client, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Requests travel from that client to our service. Your AI provider's handling of conversations is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and billing records for as long as your subscription is active and as needed afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. MCP diagnostic records are retained for 30 days from the tool request. Automated cleanup runs hourly and at service startup, so expiration may take up to an additional hour during normal operation. The diagnostic database is not included in our backups. Specific records may be retained separately only as reasonably necessary to resolve an active support or security issue or meet legal obligations, with deletion when that need ends. Usage metadata and server logs have separate retention for billing and security. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to obtain a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at matt@nlrbedge.com. We will verify your request by reference to the email address associated with your account and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose. In the past 12 months we have collected these CCPA categories: identifiers (name, email, organization, IP address), commercial information (subscription and purchase records), and internet or network activity (usage metadata, server logs and MCP tool activity), and user-submitted research content (including questions and reports, which may contain personal or sensitive information). We collect this information from you directly and automatically through your use of the service, and we use and disclose it for the business purposes described in Sections 2 and 3.

We do not sell or share (for cross-context behavioral advertising) the personal information of any user, including California residents, and have not done so in the past 12 months. We process sensitive information supplied in research content only for providing, maintaining and securing the service, not to infer personal characteristics. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we honor Global Privacy Control and similar opt-out signals by default. You may exercise your California rights, including through an authorized agent, by emailing matt@nlrbedge.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.

9. Contact
